We can have comments (at the bottom of each post) enabled, and there are various moderating options allowing us to delete spam, offensive messages etc. Alternatively, comments can be pre-moderated. I see the comments section as a way for people to get in touch with us, and we can invite people to comment a part of the profile info in the sidebar.
Blogger allows multiple authors so people can have their own sign in and password, meaning less compromise in security. There is also no technical knowledge required, just type in the box and click 'publish post' so anyone can update!
